Personal:

I'm Lily, and I love to do hard things. I've been running since the fall of 2002. In the Winter of 2008 I suffered through a severe bout of postpartum depression and anxiety. After going through such hard things, and having it test my faith and my spirit, in 2009 I rededicated my life to being a better person and intensifying my passions. I made goals and commitments to run harder and faster than ever before, and I have not looked back. My zest for life has been renewed and I am so thankful. I love running, it's truly a part of who I am.

weights -triceps and biceps.

Ran 7 miles. 13 min elliptical hell. I can't complain about this winter. It's been so mild! Looks like some afternoon runs can be in the works in the next week. Yahoo.

Worked legs in the weights and then I always have a difficult time running after this.

5 miles, had to run next to a stinky man. He made me want to puke. Smelled like athletes foot. Maybe it would have been easier to take if he actually looked like an athlete? He didn't. He was fatty McGee. I know, I'm rude.

Weights-lats.

Ran 7 miles. At about the 30 minute mark I turn up a 4% incline and rotated between brisk walking and running with the incline. Only did this about 7-8 minutes. Then I was back to steady running.

Ran a slow 3.75 on the river trail this afternoon. I had a scary encounter with a man dressed kind of thuggish-like. My inner voice was telling me to turn around and run back the way I came. I should have listened. I'm fine though. Just need to learn to listen to my instinct.
