I'm sensing the lack of words is due to the fact that the leg is still buggin' and if you comment about it you're going to cuss enough to get kicked off the blog. Sorry Lily! I really wish I had some magical cure :( you've put in such hard work I hate to see this happen to people who are amazing runners like you are. Hang in there!

Hi lily, I hope you're feeling a little better, but like Rachel said, maybe not, due to the lack of words. :(

From Lily on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 11:08:44 from 67.199.178.210

You are spot on Rachel. I am in a funk. I don't have much to say. I don't know what's going on. I am pretty angry right now. I don't care about racing or competing or anything like that, I just love to run. And when I can't do what I please, I feel so lost every time. This is not fun for me at all. Thanks for your sweet msg Rach. I appreciate you.

Thanks Dale :(

Lily W, I have also been feeling angry this week. I also love to run, but I am struggling big time. I have to keep walking a lot and my legs keep burning. The sad thing is, I'm barely running a 12 minute pace. Pathetic, and its frustrating, to say the least. We should have our own little pity party.

From Lily on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 14:53:04 from 67.199.178.210

I'm sorry Dale. Let's have a pity party for sure :(

Sorry things are sucking :(

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 16:46:16 from 66.232.64.4

Well, that blows! Sorry.

From Lily on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 20:48:05 from 74.82.64.33

It does blow! :( I feel confidant that if I take 2 weeks off straight it will resolve. Or maybe I'm delusional?

From runningafterbabies on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 21:18:36 from 71.195.219.247

Rest is almost always the answer, but most of u's are too stubborn or OCD to follow through. Take care of your body, cross train like a mad woman, refrain from watching movies about running, and you'll bounce back.

From Rachelle on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 21:23:49 from 66.7.127.115

I am so sorry Lily. :( I could tell you were in pain this morning and it made me so sad for you.

Wish there was something I could do.

I like what runningafterbabies said! Rest is SOOOOOOOOO good for you! Lily... give it 2 weeks. Youll snap right back. Remember to always see the silver lining! Just talk to that funny Shawn of yours! He cracks me up! Good luck girl

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, May 25, 2012 at 15:19:32 from 66.232.64.4

If you took two weeks off I am pretty sure it would be healed, but I'm no doc, I just like to play one on the interwebs.

From Lily on Fri, May 25, 2012 at 15:32:32 from 67.199.178.210

I am officially on my 2 week hiatus from running. I can do this right? I've been through longer bouts and worse feeling injuries.

From RAD on Fri, May 25, 2012 at 15:48:22 from 98.202.23.178

This is what I had written on my arm in sharpie at Ogden, and I think it applies now - well, to any aspect of life:

THE TASK IN FRONT OF YOU IS NEVER GREATER THAN THE STRENGTH WITHIN YOU!

You can do this Lily, you can!

From Lulu Walls on Fri, May 25, 2012 at 16:16:06 from 198.228.201.157

I know how much this sucks, but it does make you stronger. Or at least that is what I have been telling myself the last 10 months... It is your time to get super balanced so you never get injured again :)
