7 miles! This turned into a 3.5 miles of warm up,  then 3.5 mile tempo. My watch died halfway in, but I have the mileage memorized obviously, and I can gauge speed pretty well. Felt like a 6:30-6:40 pace on the tempo. I was SO happy! No gym for me today! Just me and the river trail, the birds, sunrise and my big giant smile! I can run!!!!!!!!!!

Was just thinking, maybe for the next 2 months I will just stick to the 5k distance in racing until my leg is fully 100%. It may be good. I will gain speed and agility if I do.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I will never race you in a 5k. You would crush me.

Jun- I think you'd do better in a 5k than you think!

Jake- SO GLAD! I did the right thing and I felt fresh today! No discomfort at all. I am so freaking happy

Liluh, I would be awesome at a 5k. However, it still wouldn't be fast enough to even keep you within eyesight. Did you get my funny dream email?

Glad your calf is feeling better. I bet running on the river trail today was amazing. I can just imagine it in my mind. I wish I could get out today!
