Awesome awesome start to 2012 today on Ann's trail, on the BST. Got to run with Steam8, jun, Scottw, MattVH, Dorsimus and Jsh. I had a blast. I know the trail was an easier one, but it felt great and I absolutely loved cruising the downhill. Amy is so nice, wished we could have chatted more. But I am almost positive we will all run again. I really enjoyed this morning. It was just what I needed this time of year. I felt like I was stuck in a rut. I hate the dreadmill.

This weeks weather looks awesome everyday, so my plan is to get outside everyday this week. In the morning possibly, if not, then a double run in the afternoon.

2 pm I hit the river trail for another 3.5 it is so nice outside, I just couldn't pass it up. I had a blast and was very pleased to find I am running the river trail loop ( my infamous loop) about 3-4 minutes faster without feeling like I am using more effort. Thanks to sprinting once or twice a week.

I need to shed the extra holiday flab this week. This is my short term goal.

Long term goals include: racing UVM half marathon and trying to come in first place, run a trail once a week as part of my training, 400m and 800m sprints at the track 1-2x a week, sub 20 min 5k (of course!), sub 40 min 10k, sub 1:25 half marathon, sub 3 marathon.

I love running!
