Gym ( I hate the gym!!) I sound like a broken record. 57 minutes elliptical hell.

Ran 4.5 outside. 1.10 of it on the grass at the sports park which sits next to the river trail. I feel way better running on the soft grass. Though it makes my pace a lot slower. Should I be concerned with this? I see more grass running in my future till my calf is completely better. Today didn't feel as great as yesterday and Sunday. Maybe tomorrow if I run, I should stick to the grass. The sports park is big so there is plenty of room to run.

I can't help but get a little sad that this is the season of my sport, and I can't train or perform at my potential. It's humbling.

Grass is good. It *forces* you to run slower which is a good thing for 99% of us.

I need to be forced to do things. Like how I'm supposed to be running every other day! haha!

Kira, I am running again tomorrow at 5:40 if you want to join!

You can come use the elliptical at my clubhouse anytime Lily. The poor thing is like more of a decoration than a work out tool.

Grass is good! And I will run with you anytime........after 6am. Even 6:01. hehe but running a minute before 6 is against my religion. :)

Grass/trails are really good for the body - especially when the body is trying to recover. Ditch your watch and go by feel/effort. It's way more important that you heal than to try to do too much too soon. Your fitness is there. Have confidence in that.

Ughh sorry. I echo your sentiments. It is absolutely painful to be in the gym this time of year. You really can't say that enough :)

I'm in the same boat. I feel your pain!
