I just sat down to log my miles and glanced out my window. I saw my two neighbors Wes (Merri's husband) and Larry running. Wes was totally kicking Larry's trash. :P

I went to the gym this morning and I thought I might be able to run a bit. My legs are not recovered. I could only muster out 1 1/2 miles. I was running at a higher speed and so I know that didn't help my cause. But boy it was a shocker. My legs are still sore and they just could not move.

So, I resorted to the eliptical for an hour and 5 minutes. Fun stuff. The end.

My to do list before August is over:

  • Run another 1/2 marathon race
  • 2 more trail runs at least. I love doing this!
  • Climb a peak
  • hike up to the Spanish Fork cross
  • rock climb (scary)
  • Run a 20 miler in prep for TOU
  • a week of 10's  yeehhhawwww 10 miles everyday for 7 days.

You will accomplish all those. I looked for you on the trail this morning because I was ready to keep up but now I know why I couldn't find you.

Nice goals, but I think Scott, Jun, and Twinkies are poisoning your mind. :)

Those are great goals. I can help with a fair few. I'm possibly heading out for a day of climbing on Thursday actually.

Wow - sounds like a fun August! Good luck with all and especially recovering for TOU.

What an energizer bunny you are! LOVE your can-do-attitude! Those soreness are well earned...you ran an incredible 1/2! Smart active recovery on the elliptical!

GOOD LUCK with all those fun Aug. goals!

I'm glad Wes was kicking larry's trash. :) ha ha your to do list looks like a lot of work, but you can do it no problemo!

From Lily on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 16:57:45 from 67.199.181.73

Ya now that I look back at my to-do list, it is quite steep. I don't know if I can do it all. I will try!

Wes kicked Larry's trash all over the river trail. I saw them two different times, and both times Wes was way up ahead of Lar dog. :) ha!

Burt poison? hmmm, well if that is poison, then that is the kind of poison I can take!

Jun you are hard core. Rock climbing after a 100k? I have never rock climbed, so it's going to be scary for me I think...gulp.

Jason thanks for your encouragement. I really appreciate it :)

Smooth you are so awesome! We'll see if I can accomplish the August to do list. I am pretty determined.

That is a great list. I really like that you are stepping out of your comfort zone to get some new experiences. Fun! You are invited to the peaks anytime :)
