I was feeling a little sore and heavy legged yesterday after my workout. So I rolled good last night and this morning I decided to take it a little easier and no impact. 1 hr 26 min elliptical hell. :) Tomorrow I will rest.

Random: I still would rather run TOU. Am I crazy? If I knew I'd have a place to sleep, I'd soooooo register right now for it. I feel nostalgic about that place now  :)

Would you do TOU and St. George? Having done Ogden & Utah Valley back to back I do not think I would recommend it. However if you just race one of them and use the other as more of a training/tempo workout I'm sure you could easily pull it off.

Thanks for talking to me today, and for texting me yesterday, You always lend a helping hand when I need a pick me up :) I appreciate that a lot.

Elliptical Hell, one of these days we will have to work out together, elliptical hell or running :P Good luck at hobble creek on Sat!

you should do SGM. Its a new experience and super fun... from what I hear. ha ha. Or do both! :) If you do TOU will you qualify for Boston?

From Merri on Thu, Aug 18, 2011 at 14:59:11 from 160.7.252.148

Are you doing pocatello? I feel like I am cheating on TOU with St geo. :)

From Lily on Thu, Aug 18, 2011 at 15:57:46 from 67.199.178.210

Rachelle I would do both, but maybe race TOU and not St. Geezy. I'd run St George at a slow pace. Buuuut, I don't think it's going down that way. I'll probably end up racing St George :) I should be excited because my parents and my sister and her fam live in St George. They will be there.

Hi Kira! Yeah you can qualify for Boston at TOU, but the registration date is before TOU so I think it would be for 2013 just like SGM.

Merri, I think I am over Pocatello :( I need to up my mileage again from this quad thing before I feel good about a marathon so close. You know? :)

I agree with what you just said! Might as well do SGM! It's something new that you can say you achieved, plus your sisters and fam is down there AND Merri, Monica, and Julie will be running it so its pretty much just like a party afterwards! Psh, I should just tag along for the ride!

I heard all the cool people are going to St. George.

Well, actually I heard I'm going to St. George.

From allie on Thu, Aug 18, 2011 at 21:31:03 from 24.10.191.18

i haven't heard of any cool people going to TOU, but it is most definitely the coolest marathon in the state. i will not do anything to talk you out of running SG, because i think it will be a great experience for you and i think you will respond well to that course. however, i must repeat this: TOU is the best marathon in the state. i think you could pull off doing both (sasha and many others do it every year), but be careful and go into it with the mindset that you may not be able to race both in peak condition. or who knows, maybe you will. i know i have used carina as an example before -- she is proof that this type of crazy feat can be done and done well. it's just a matter of knowing (to some degree) how your body will respond and then deciding whether or not it's a good idea for you.

(breathe)

also, if you need a place to stay, i have a sweet (not a suite) room reserved at the university inn (the best kept secret in the TOU sold-out hotel scene). you are welcome to stay with me if necessary.

What is better than one marathon for one training? Two marathons for one training, or three or four :) You could easily do both, but like Allie said with only two weeks between the two be careful and listen to your body. I would only plan on racing one of them. AND you're going to ROCK Hobble Creek tomorrow!!!!

Allie you are so nice. I've been thinking about his non stop since last week. Oh how I love TOU!
