Just another day of elliptical fun. Yep, another day. But hey, my leg is feeling 150x better than a week ago. Woohoo!  1 hr on the elliptical doing sprint intervals. Sweat was the name of the game. Got to chat with Brandon Dase which is always fun. And Kira :)

I did strength train before my time in elliptical hell. Forgot to put that first. 20 minutes of strength training. Meathead city! Monday's and Tuesday's are the worst on the weight floor. Meat heads everywhere. Today and Friday are usually the most dry.

Going to St. George! wahooo

Sad Carina! I know a lot of people are going this weekend too. I think it's the Sunshine baseball tournament. Makes for a crazy busy city. So yeah, I bet there wasn't any motels. My parents live there so I have a free place to stay. My Sister and her hubby live there too. I feel lucky! Oh and my parents have a pool which is a +!

Lily, have you tried CEP calf sleeves or socks for your shin splints? I get shin splints on my right outer calf, but since buying the CEP sleeves no pain. The sleeves are only $40 and I like them because I don't need to wash as often as I would socks.

Hey Russ! No I haven't. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'm going to get orthotics for my shoes today, so I'll look for the calf sleeves. My shin splint is on the inside of my right shin tho. Will that make any difference?

Sorry Lily, no expert here. I bought mine on a whim before my September marathon as after long runs my right outer calf would throb with numbing pain and the sales rep swore they'd help. I wore them on the marathon even though I'd never tested them out and they worked great. Really nice to wear around the house before the marathon (taper legs) and then after the marathon. Seemed to help recovery also. My guess is they'll help you, but orthotics should help as well. I know my right foot doesn't have good form due to an old ankle sprain, so I get more injuries. If that's similar to your situation orthotics should correct some of that? Good luck - I hope it all helps.
