Strength training for 30 minutes. 40 min on the elliptical.

5.50 river trail run. Leg is still kind of hurting. Makes me run a lot slower. THIS SUCKS!  Felt kind of iffy until about 3 miles in, then any thing that feels uncomfortable goes away. Right about that time today, my ipod shuffled into some songs that I ran to during TOU in 2010. It's amazing how the music affects me. Footfall picked up and before I knew it I was running in the low 7's. That was nice.

Contemplating another break from running. This morning I did a deferment of my UVM registration to next year, and Hobble creek will now become my half marathon goal this year.

I am sorry Lily. Do you think maybe you should get xrays to rule out stress fracture? It just seems like this has persisted for way too long.

Thinking about you!

As much as it sucks... I think you should get a x ray like Rachelle suggested. Once you see the picture.. You will know what to do.

Would a stress fracture in the tibia or fibula be causing calf pain? My wife had a tibia stress fracture, and all the pain was anterior, on the shin...Idk.

I know I need to get to the Dr. Thanks everyone for the little push. I just keep hoping things will improve.

Kam I am really not sure where exactly it can cause pain. My feeling is that my problems are soft tissue not bone. But I could be wrong.

Im sorry Lily. I hate those feelings of its all healing well and boom pain returns. I do agree about the doc, even if I am on my third, it can help with the break and healing.
