25 min elliptical, strength trained abs, back and some tricpes. Ran 6.5 on the river trail. Some of it on the grass. Discomfort till mile 3.5 today. Not sure if I should run the half on Sat or ask to be switched to the 5k?!!???

If you do decide to run the half I would just shoot for a marathon paced tempo and not go all out. You still have UV half coming up in June to train hard for and PR. :)

Tough decision. Lame pain!!

My 2 cents - if you run the 1/2 and run your leg worse, you'll regret it if it sets you back for UV. If you run the 5K and feel fine, and wish you had actually run the 1/2... well them at least you are healthy, got a race in, and will be extra-excited for UV!

It kind of all depends on how your leg can hold up on the downhill up in the canyon... I don't know if I necessarily have any advice one way or another, but I'm trying to think of it in a picture bigger than just this weekend.

Jake always says the right thing.
