Just checking in.....

I have felt a major change the last 2 days in the calf. I don't really feel it anymore. I hope that means healing. I know it's not all the way healed, but what a GREAT sign!

FRB poll: I still haven't seen a Dr. Should I make an appt and have a full exam on the leg done as well as x-rays to be sure of no hairline fracture? Or should I skip past that and go to a PT and get a little Graston technique done?

I ran from my car to the gym doors. It didn't hurt. At all. Oh I hope!

I vote for Xrays but I know that you know your body and you will listen to what you think is right. JUST like you have taken time off from running. Smart smart girl. I always LOVE your breaks, only because then I get a little face time with you. Haha. You make my heart happy. I pray everything works out! Which it is sounding like it will! Yaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!

I am thinking if it is not hurting, I would not fork out the money for an X-ray, but I am a total cheapskate! I guess we should not mess with our bodies so much and be safe rather than sorry, right????

Laughing so hard about running from the car to the gym door. I don't know why that was so funny to me but I am so glad it was pain free. :):)

I am a complete idiot and just run through all of my injuries so don't listen to me. I would maybe see how you feel the next few days and if still no pain them maybe you are home free?? and pt is enough?? I really don't know!

Oh, i didn't think about money. Kelli has got a point. Does insurance not cover for X-rays? I'm pretty sure mine did at the chiropractor. The only reason I vote x-ray is because then you have peace of mind or concrete evidence of whats going on... but if it going to cost a pretty penny and you're feeling good...You probably don't need it. Once again. Just play it by hear, listen to your body, and to your heart. :)

Xrays are good, but don't always show fractures very well until they start to heal. My PT diagnosed my tiba fracture before the doc could just by putting the ultrasound wand on it. It shouldn't hurt at all if the bone is healthy. If it is fractured you will know it right away and bad words might come out :)

i would say go for the x-rays...just to rule it out.

thanks for the update. i'm glad to hear you are feeling better.
