Glad you are back. Yes, yes, yes, be careful. No crazy stuff, Lily. If you want to shoot your heart rate into the 180s, climb on the mill, set the incline to 10 and run 9 minute miles. But definitely limit the crazy fast speedwork.

Kam that's the plan. No crazy fast stuff for quite some time. And when I'm strong again. (spring) then I'm ok with one crazy fast workout a week. Sound good?

That should keep you safe. You gotta be extra careful, just because of your injury history. You are so talented, and capable of running screaming fast speeds, but it'll pay off for you to hold back, build that super base over the winter, and then hit the spring/summer racing circuit with a vengeance, not to mention killing it in Boston.

Kam the girly girl inside me is tearing up. I know, in fact have known, deep down inside for a long time that I only chipped the iceberg these last 2 years in what I'm capable of doing. I had my vo2max tested at a health fair last May, and it is naturally high. My legs seem to retain a fair amount of speed running or not. I know I have got to really be smart this winter and keep it mellow but with a wide aerobic base. I have to get to Boston. It's so important to me.

Yay! You're back!! I really like your plan. I haven't done any speed work since having baby just because I don't want to get injured. So far no injuries :) You're gonna love Boston, I'm jealous!!!!!
