Quads are still toast. I feel better, but they are still fatigued. 55 min elliptical. 3 miles running, that's all I could muster out today. Time to hit some BCCA supplement.

Foam rolling and the stick always helps my quads recover faster! Elliptical is probably a good move for now though :o)

sorry lily. this happened to me after timp half. what helped the most for me was ice massaging -- freeze water 1/2 way up in paper or foam cups and then tear off the top to expose the ice. massage your legs with the ice blocks -- it feels great. good job keeping at it with the cross training.

Sorry about your quads Lily. Mine killed after the AF half and foam rolling seemed to be the only thing to help. That and recovery time. I'm sure you'll be back at it in no time. :)

You will be back soon enough! You always are!:)

ice in the AF river or any ice cold river. Not sure if HC river is cold enough. Good luck. I am sure they will be back to normal soon. : D.

I got some compression shorts recently that have helped a bit with sore quads. They're a bit pricey though, so I'd say ice is your best bang for the buck.

I took tons of ice baths after all my races this year. As miserable as they sound they really help with a faster recovery!
