This morning I ran the river trail loop 3 times totaling 11 miles. Last mile and a half killed me. The river trail looks like it's been snowed on because of all the falling cotton seeds from the cotton wood trees. I will have to go back up it with my camera and take a picture because you've got to see this. It's crazy!

I would love to see that picture. My allergies are reminding me out what season it is.

And that's a lot of running around in circles. I hope you didn't get dizzy.

That would be a beautiful scene! Running on trails like that is so much nicer than running the roads. Great start to the week!

it would definitely be cool to see but i would die of allergies in a matter of seconds. nice miles this week.

Allie I just happened across some of your marathon finish times. You're an animal girl! Any advice for me? I've yet to run a marathon and am considering one this year. I will take any coaching you are willing to give! :)

this is very general but...i would say the biggest factor in bringing down my marathon times was consistency. volume is good too, although i haven't been successful with it just yet because i end up injured every time i try to go above 65 mpw. i'm still looking for the right balance. you have posted some solid 5K and half marathon times, and i suspect you would fare quite well at the marathon with good, consistent training. looking back through your blog, it looks like you already have that. your weekly mileage is strong and you are starting with a great base---both fitness-wise and speed-wise. now it's just a matter of putting the two together and running fast for a long time (this is the tricky part; i don't have the answer for this one!) i just saw your post that you are planning on TOU. great choice for your first marathon! good luck with your training. it will be fun to follow your progress and maybe, just maybe if i decide to make some concrete racing plans, i will see you at TOU in the fall!
