So, I feel like I am riding the fitness roller coaster. I gain fitness up to last years par, then I loose it. I think it's just because I am running inconsistent. Anyhow, ran this race today. Was 50 sec slower than last year. I blame it partially on the crappy eating for the last 5 days. I swear I gained 6 lbs since Thursday. Sugar isn't my friend when I'm trying to run quick. So I must get my diet back in control. Also no soda. Even if it is diet soda, I think it wreaks havoc on the system.

This course is flat with some slight incline, I think it makes for the perfect race. I think more runners could gauge how they are really doing by running this 10k or the 5k because of the flat courses.

JulieC was there bandit and she ran well. Got to hang with RAD, Sue, Merri, Rachelle and MelanieB a bit after. Oh and Jen Hughes won the 10k. (she won hobble creek)  she ran a 37 min something. That chic is on a roll this year. I think she's gonna pull off a near win at SGM. Dead serious. To bad she's not on the blog.

3rd overall female, 3rd of 30-34 yr olds,  Jen Hughes & MelanieB are in my age div.  1st, 2nd 3rd :) hehe

Ran 7 more after wards on the River trail.

Weights, 40 min elliptical, 6.4 outside running. Avg pace 7:53. Saw a couple black widows on the trail. Sick. Why is it so spidery this year?

first 10 with Merri, it flew by. We kept a great pace. The 2nd half I ran alone with music. And it flew by as well. You all should run with me, I have the funniest things happen to me all the time. This morning, I was at mile 20, and I turned a blind corner near my neighborhood and a high school kid on a bike and I ran smack dab into each other. What was funny was the martial arts maneuver I performed. He was on a bike so I ended up quick thinking and straddling his front tire.  I didn't want the front of my legs annihilated by his front tire. Yeah, I straddled his front tire. LOL!

Weights, Elliptical for 45 min, 8.6 outside running Merri's 5 mile square route, and some River trail. I'm surprised I had anything in my legs after yesterday. But I did :)

I always do a cool down walk after runs. I just never write about it.

9 miles this morning. First 7 alone, and I ran up the center street hill, it's about .90 long, and I did it as a veyo simulation. I need to find a steeper hill though. I've heard Harry's hill in Salem is the hill to run for that.

Then I saw Merri on my way back to the house. I told her I'd meet her back at the SF half marathon with cytomax and my camera. I was originally going to pace her the last half, but my cute husband went rock climbing around 8, and I needed to be home with the kiddos :(.

Went back and met Merri. Shot pictures. Saw RAD, McKenzie and a bunch of others. They took off, and so did I.

Ran 2 more miles 6:20 pace for each.  60 mile+ week done! I'll try to do the same this coming week and a 5k next Saturday. Allie will be on my mind next Saturday. Go Allie go!
