Woke up late. Ran the river trail loop twice totaling 7 miles. I still feel slow. What is the deal? avg. pace 7:40

Ran 4.35 miles pm today. Avg pace 7:27. I think I like that better.

maybe more sleep? or spinach? although i don't consider 7:40 to be a slow pace. :)

it's better to feel slow and yet be fast, versus the opposite

nice run

"I still feel slow. What is the deal?"

The deal is, YOU'RE CRAZY! 7:40 average would be insanely fast for me. Sounds like a great workout.

When you say you ran the loop twice, is it really a loop or an out and back? I think two actual loops wouldn't be bad, but two out and backs would be mentally tough.

If you are so slow, why couldn't I catch up to you? I came close to that average pace and am so excited I am practically doing back flips. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are superwoman.

Thanks for all the suuuuper nice words.

But I really am feeling slower than normal. I reviewed all my garmin stuff from the last 3 months and I am actually running about 20-30 seconds slower than a a month ago. I guess it will be back to the treadmill tomorrow for some major speed intervals and a night run tonight.

Julie did you see me this morning then?

Jun I think you are a quick runner. So 7:40 fast for you? I would have thought that avg for you?

Allie definitely more sleep! I don't sleep enough lately! Does anyone want to come tell my husband that the loud TV on in my room isn't helping? thanks in advance.

Lily, you are a doll! It was so nice meeting you on Sat. YOU ARE FAST! Ummm you're feeling slow at 7:40 pace?!!! You're AWESOME!!!

From Burt on Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 12:11:53 from 206.19.214.144

It must've been Scott and Jun pushing you too hard on that mountain. I don't think you've ever recovered from that.

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 12:20:58 from 66.239.250.209

Nice job getting out even though you woke up late. With as hard as you work I'm sure you will start feeling it and shave off that 20-30 seconds soon.

From Lily on Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 15:32:41 from 67.199.181.73

Yeah it's all Scott and jun's fault! :P

Jun, I call that route a loop. I don't know if it really is one though. It's a big 3 1/2 miles circle. It is actually kind of hard. There are hills throughout- not huge ones, but hills none the less.

From Toby on Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 22:44:33 from 216.194.124.37

Yep...7:40 is SLOW - what is the deal! Good grief, I'm not sure if I've ever run a 7ish mile. Speedster....

From Lily on Thu, Jul 15, 2010 at 00:05:54 from 67.199.181.73

I ran tonight and my avg pace was 7:27- that is a little more like it!
